A deal with BHP for 12 years PPA
We signed a renewable Power Purchase Agreement with BHP for 100% of the output of its Flat Rocks Wind Farm Stage One supplying approximately 315 GWh per year of renewable electricity for 12 years.
Atalaya and Endesa X will build the largest solar farm for mining operations
The agreement will start the construction works of the largest self-consumption photovoltaic plant (50 MW) in a mining company in Spain.
ANGLO AMERICAN E-BUSES FOR COPPER MINERS
The goal is to replace 50 traditional buses with electric ones and an electric station.
- The first phase with 17 buses with the reduction of 850 tons of CO2 per year
- This CaaS (Charging as a Service) has a term of 8 years with 10 GWh/year
SQM PLANT TO PORT E-TRUCKS FOR LITHIUM
The 2022 pilot’s e-truck will operate in SQM’s lithium Chilean mines to replace diesel trucks. The initial pilot route between one of the SQM plants and port is 86 km and saves 12 tons of CO2 each trip.
THE HARU ONI PROJECT (HIGHLY INNOVATIVE FUEL)
We use wind-generated energy in the Chilean Magallanes region to obtain low-cost hydrogen through water electrolysis. We then combine the hydrogen obtained by electrolysis with the CO2 captured from the atmosphere through a synthesis process to obtain e-Fuels (synthetic fuels) that can replace diesel.
OLLAGÜE HYBRID POWER PLANT
CSV WITH MINERA EL ABRA - FREEPORT - MCMORAN COPPER & GOLD.
The Ollagüe community, which borders the Chilean-Bolivian border, relied on a diesel generator for light and electricity until 2 PM.
We launched this CSV project by combining 1,538 thin-film photovoltaic panels, a small wind turbine, and a battery backup. Today, people of Ollagüe have electricity 24 hours a day and are Internet connected.
